Loved this. I wish it could have been so much longer though. Belzer is just... awesome. Gr8 timing. I loved his dig on Rollins but I can understand that was cut out of the actual episode. I loved everything that came flying Fin's way. He can surely take it and he was Munch's partner for the longest time.
Oh I'll miss Munch so.

I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed Meldrick only got the "We kicked him outta B-More" dig, he was always pretty loud on Homicide. Still, this full scene was pretty awesome, and I'll surely miss Munch.

I don't understand how WL doesn't understand that this is what we want to see. This full scene is so much more complete for his character and could have been edited in. It's kinda disappointing..All and I have to say for a hard core fan..all these disappointing writing..I kinda want the show to end already with a big bang how the season primere...only with closure to the characters.

There's no sound on the roast clip for me! I know its not my computer because I watched the video clip from October Surprise! Please help! Love Munch and I will miss him!

OhSusannah - it works fine for me and I checked it on IE, Chrome, Firebox browsers and my cell phone. Not sure what browser you are using. Sometimes a reboot of your computer may help to clear what may be blocking the audio?

I love that they have started to publish more clips from an episode etc (for example the one with Dean in surrender Benson) And now this! I love this clip! But Liv seemed very out of character and it was just like seeing Mariska giving Munch the speech. It was a good choice to cut it, and then release the uncut version later!

I so so so WISH we'd get to see all the stuff they cut out of "Surrender Benson" too! I heard someone won a script of the episode and they wrote on twitter that the script was very different from what was shown in the episode. Apparently the scenes were more violent, they were longer and it had more dialogue..
I don't understand why Mariska said that it was the hardest she's done due to all the torture scenes and wondered if she would get trough them. There was not a single torture scene during the episode, the closest it got was Lewis pulling her hair, force feeding her vodka and pulling on her legs. Other than that it was mostly talking.

Anyhow. In my eyes Chris, you are somewhat of an oracle who has contacts within the production lol ;-) Have you heard anything about it being released a directors cut of this episode on DVD, or if there are clips that they can or will publish? Or if there are clips that they save for future flashbacks?

Sylvie - There hasn't been anything definite about releasing a directors cut or other clips from that episode but they did "tease" that we'd see more clips as the season goes on. I think they're saving some of those clips they cut to pepper into other episodes as need be. As the series that Pablo Schreiber was in (Ironside) just got canceled, this opens the door for a return for William Lewis in some shape or form - who knows, an escape from jail? Right now, they've made no definite promises on the release of any stand-alone clips from Surrender Benson!

Thank you for replying Chris :-) I read an interview of Warren were he when he were asked if Pablo would ever return answered that he didn't know, but that we would see him trough flashbacks. But this interview were made before they aired ep 3. So since we got flashbacks in episode 2, 3 and 4 maybe that was it... It would be typical SVU, make it so that it'll be a big thing and then the next second it is over (sorry, really don't mean to be negative) Or had warren himself said it would come flashbacks troughout the whole season? I so hope for the latter :-)
